How to Flash/Install the Official Jelly Bean Update for the Galaxy S3
on September 25, 2012This is my tutorial on how to flash the Samsung official Jelly Bean firmware DLIB onto the Samsung Galaxy S3.

NOTE:
1. You do not need root for this.
2. The Process is completely safe.
3. This does NOT void your warranty.
4. This is for the Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 only.
Step 1:
Download the following files
- PC Odin
- Samsung Kies (Download and Install)
- Jellybean Update DLIB
Step 2:
Connect your Galaxy S3 to the PC and open up PC Odin by clicking odin3 1.85.exe from the 1st zip file downloaded.
Step 3:
Hold Vol Dn+Power+Home on the Galaxy S3 till you see the following screen…
Step 4:
Now extract the I9300XXDLIB_I9300OXFDLI1_XEO.zip that we downloaded, you will get a .tar file, Do not extract further.
Click on PDA on Odin and select I9300XXDLIB_I9300OXFDLI1_XEO.tar, make sure that Re-Partition is not checked, leave all as it is and click START and wait for the process to complete.
Once done you will be on the latest Official Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S3. Click HERE to root the phone now, will take you 30 seconds to a minute at max

I’ve installed Jelly Bean successfully (thanks to you), the only problem which I’ve encountered is that the Thumbnails video preview is not functioning. There’s no auto preview of video’s as it was on ICS. Is it a bug?
When I upgraded to the new OS. My AT&T SIM does not work. I’m guessing this is because of the baseband. I just wanted to let others know before using this method. Luckily I just started the port process with my net10 simcard

bro this is not a custom firmware, this is the official release from samsung, not a leak but a final release… they released for poland first, will release all over the world in the next few weeks, in the mean time we are flashing the poland release and since this is samsung official, there will be no warranty issues
is this the official update will it affect when using it like no 3g or 4g and stuff like that

This is wonderful. But when I install Jelly Bean, will I loose applications and data? Then how to restore back to current status, i.e. Current level/stage in some games, paid apps?

Hello, can you please tell me the easiest way to do a full wipe before flashing this ROM ? Will a full wipe void the warranty ?
I have GT-19300 International version from SAUDI ARABIA, will it work ?
Also, how can I revert back to ICS Stock if anything goes wrong ?

It will work perfectly and you dont need a full wipe bro… all data will be retained
